Database Schema

EarthSoft provides several standard Schemas, depending on the license package. The term Schema is used to describe the organization of a database. A Schema includes tables, relationships between tables, data types, and data constraints. Available EarthSoft Schemas from programs and modules are listed below.

EQuIS Data Gathering Engine (EDGE)	schema.EDGE.xml/e	EDGE package – EDGE\db folder	Includes tables used by EDGE to store information related to field sampling activities.
Geotech	schema.geotech.xml/e Note: An obsolete schema file, schema.geotechnical.xml/e, also exists. Do not use that version.	EarthSoft Community Center (ECC) Downloads Dashboard: Schema package in All Items > Products > EQuIS Geotech	Provides a basic structure to aid in storing and organizing geotechnical data.
Live	schema.LIVE.xml/e	ECC Downloads Dashboard: Schema package in All Items > Products > Live > v7	Consists of tables designed and optimized for high-frequency, high-volume data.
Sample Planning Module (SPM)	schema.SPM.xml/e	SPM installation – db folder	Includes tables used by SPM to plan sampling tasks and to manage and create Chain of Custody forms.
Alive	schema.Alive.xml/e	Professional installation – db folder (if the Alive feature was installed)	Contains tables utilized in storing biological data and surveys used to gather that data.
Data Qualification Module (DQM)	schema.DQM.xml/e	Professional installation – db folder (if the DQM feature was installed)	Contains base tables and columns used to store data qualification standards which are applied by the Data Qualification Module.
Air Quality System (AQS)	schema.AQS.xme	ECC Downloads Dashboard: Schema package in Allltems > Products > AQS Module	Accounts for the one-to-many relationships between EQuIS and AQS reference values necessary for data import and export in EDP.
Water Quality Exchange (WQX)	schema.WQX.xml/e	ECC Downloads Dashboard: EQuIS_WQX_6.6.0_db.zip in All Items > Products > Additional Resources > v6.6 (no updates to schema in v7)	Based on the Environmental Sampling, Analysis and Results (ESAR) data standard, which is the EPA approved standard for sharing water, solid waste and air quality data.
Vapor Intrusion	schema.Vapor.xml/e	ECC Downloads Dashboard: Schema package in All Items > Products > Vapor Intrusion	The EQuIS Vapor Intrusion Module allows EarthSoft clients to collect, store, manage, and report data associated with vapor intrusion assessment and monitoring.
LakeWatch	schema.LakeWatch.xml/e	Professional installation - db folder (if the LakeWatch feature was installed)	Contains tables and reports for lake monitoring data.
RadChem	schema.RadChem.xml/e	ECC Downloads Dashboard: schema.RadChem.OPTIONAL.zip in All Items > Products > Additional Resources > v7.0 > Custom (Approval Required)	OPTIONAL Schema for high-precision numbers such as radiochemical results. Expands the DT_RESULT.RESULT_NUMERIC precision from decimal(19,10) to decimal(28,19). Review the included readme file carefully before considering.
