EQuIS Database

EQuIS uses relational databases in Microsoft SQL Server. This chapter contains information on EQuIS database properties and options.

Organizations may have multiple EQuIS databases. Users access the database via SQL logins (via Windows or SQL authentication) or EQuIS Enterprise accounts.

Each release of EQuIS typically includes updates to the EQuIS Schema. These are applied using *.XME (encrypted XML) files from the /db/ subfolder of the EQuIS Professional installation. At minimum, an EQuIS database requires the Professional, Enterprise, and Standard Reports Schemas.

For more information on database concepts, see the Terminology article.

For SQL Server and database connectivity requirements, see the EQuIS 7 Hardware and System Requirements article.

To create a new database, see the Create New EQuIS Database article.
