Description: The EZEDD_Location format is a single section lab EDD format. The EZEDD_Location format is functionally identical to the EZEDD format, but with the addition of a SYS_LOC_CODE field.

Installation Instructions: The EZEDD_Location format is included in the installation of EDP Standalone and EQuIS Professional in the \Formats\EarthSoft folder. This format is also provided with the installation of EQuIS Enterprise but requires configuration to be available in the Enterprise EDP EDD Upload widget. If the format should be configured for EQuIS Enterprise, an administrator will need to define the commit type and other EDP Enterprise elements as defined in the Workflow Widget and Add or Modify Enterprise EDP Formats articles.

Overview: The EZEDD_Location format is a single section lab EDD format designed to import sample, test, and result data.

Limitations/Assumptions: The checks and mappings in any EDD format involve assumptions. The following are limitations and assumptions for the EZEDD_Location format:

Test Alternate Keys (TAKs)

TAK fields available in the format: SAMPLE_ID, ANALYTIC_METHOD, ANALYSIS_DATE, FRACTION, and IDENTIFIER.

The format may be used in databases that contain TEST_TYPE in their TAK because it contains a default mapping of 'INITIAL' to DT_TEST.TEST_TYPE. However, this value cannot be changed, and as such, it cannot be used to differentiate records.

This format is not suggested for loading dual-column data as column number has a default mapping of 'NA' to DT_TEST.COLUMN_NUMBER to satisfy any possible TAK requirements.

The Result_Value field is not required even if the Detect_Flag = 'Y'.

The Reporting_Detection_Limit field is not required, regardless of the Detect_Flag field status.

The EDD fields project_code and Lab_Batch_Number do not map to related tables in the EQuIS Schema.

If populating the sys_loc_code field, the location must already exist in the database.

For custom checks and additional default mappings, please see the EDD Description file for the EZEDD_Location format.

Exports: The data returned will be automatically filtered by the facility to which the user is connected, as well as by the parameters selected prior to running the report. See the Exports from Professional EDP article for more information about running exports.

Note: Exports will not work as expected if the data were imported using a different format, as each format has different mappings, checks, etc.
