Third Party Components

Upgraded Syncfusion dependencies to version 20.1.0.48. Reports (or other customizations) compiled against older versions of Syncfusion should continue to work but, in some instances, may need to be recompiled with the new version reference.

Apache log4net is a third party component used in EQuIS applications for application logging. Versions of log4net earlier than version 2.0.9 are known to have an XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability. EQuIS applications have used version 1.2.10 for a number of years, and many custom assemblies (aka *.dll files) exist that reference version 1.2.10. Upgrading to a new version of log4net will break backwards compatibility and require that all custom assemblies be recompiled. In order to maintain backwards compatibility, EQuIS applications continue to use log4net version 1.2.10, but the XXE vulnerability has been mitigated in the EQuIS application code (starting in Build 7.22.2). In a future build, EQuIS may use a newer version of log4net, which means that all custom assemblies will need to be recompiled.

Per our Product Support Lifecycle, this release will be supported for 24 months.

Known Issues:

In EQuIS Windows applications (EQuIS Professional, EDP, and SPM), moving a window to a secondary monitor that has a different scale may cause display issues. The application may appear partially blank or may not fully maximize within the window or screen. To reset the window to the correct display, click Maximize, then Restore for the window in the main monitor.

A previously known issue causes values to be imported into EDP rounded or truncated if the Excel EDD has the column hidden or the column width narrowed. The Syncfusion Upgrade, listed above, has fixed the rounded values due to hidden columns. The rounded values due to narrow column widths will be configurable in an upcoming build.

Please see https://forum.earthsoft.com for current information.

Report Files

Republishing reports is an additional step that an admin-level user can perform after an installation or build upgrade. Below are the reports that have been updated or created with this release. EarthSoft recommends reports be republished for this build of EQuIS if they have already been published to the database.

As you run user reports and custom reports built on any republished reports, please ensure that they function as expected. If not, they should be rebuilt (e.g., reloaded with the published report, new parameters selected if needed, and user reports resaved or custom reports republished). Added report parameters or changes to the DISPLAY_TYPE of report parameters are most likely to affect user reports.
