The EQuIS Geotech package downloaded from the EarthSoft Community Center (ECC) contains numerous Microsoft Excel template files and other graphic files to use with the standard EQuIS Geotech reports and dashboards. These files need to be uploaded to the DT_FILE table and appropriately configured in the database (assign values to DT_FILE.PLACE_TYPE and DT_FILE.PLACE_CODE) to work correctly when running the reports.
This article explains the steps to manually upload the files and enter the correct DT_FILE.PLACE_TYPE and DT_FILE.PLACE_CODE values, where necessary. These steps should only be followed if NOT using the EQuIS Geotech DT_FILE_EDD_EQEDD_v2.zip file with the EQEDD_v2 format to upload the template and graphic files (see the Geotech Database Configuration article).
1.Gather the files to upload from the EQuIS Geotech package. The files are located in several folders. Refer to the EQuIS Geotech Files on the ECC description for more information on what files each folder contains.

•Configuration Files\EQuIS Geotech Report Graphics (3 files)
•Configuration Files\ Lab_Test_Fee_Override.xlsx
•EarthSoft Templates\EQuIS Geotech EnviroInsite Templates (6 files)
•EarthSoft Templates\EQuIS Geotech Report Templates (14 files)
2.Upload the files gathered in Step 1 to the DT_FILE table. There are two options to upload the files:
•Docs and Photos Form in Professional – Upload the files to the database folder. Do not upload these files to a specific Facility.
•Explorer Widget in Enterprise – The Facility Chooser must be empty when uploading a new file through the Explorer Widget. The DT_FILE.PLACE_TYPE and DT_FILE.PLACE_CODE can be entered when uploading the file. See the tables below for appropriate values for the various files. Skip to Step 6.
3.After the files have loaded, open Professional.
4.Select the Tables option from the Open group of the Home ribbon. Select the Data Tables options and open the DT_FILE table.
5.Populate the DT_FILE.PLACE_CODE and DT_FILE.PLACE_TYPE for each report or graphic based on the tables below.
6.Test the EQuIS Geotech EnviroInsite and Report Templates by running the reports in Professional.
