EQuIS WQX Package Installation and Configuration

The EQuIS WQX package (EQEDD_WQX_FormatPackage.zip) is available for download in the All Items\Formats folder on the Downloads Dashboard on the EarthSoft Community Center (ECC). After downloading the format package file, unblock the *.zip file and extract the contents. The format package includes the following files:

•EQEDD_WQX Format (EQEDD_WQX.zip) – Used to import WQX data into an EQuIS database.

•WQX-refvals Format (WQX-refvals.zip) – A reference value format used specifically for WQX valid values.

•WQX Schema (schema.WQX.xme) – The EQuIS Schema to apply when using the EQEDD_WQX format.

•WQX Reference Values for WQX-refvals Format (WQX refvals for WQX-refvals format.xlsx) – Example EDD to use with the WQX-refvals format.

•WQX Reference Values for Standard refvals Format (WQX refvals for standard refvals format.xlsx) – Example EDD to use with the standard EQuIS refvals format.

•WQX Remap Example (WQX remap example.xlsx) – An example reference value EDD to be used with the standard EQuIS refvals format. This creates a WQX remap set in the database that can be used to substitute WQX domain values.

•Analytical Results Example EDD (Analytical Results Example EDD.xlsx) – An example EDD for WQX analytical results to use with the EQEDD_WQX format.

•Biological Results Example EDD (Biological Results Example EDD.xlsx) – An example EDD for WQX biological results to use with the EQEDD_WQX format.

•WQX: PhysicalChemical_Result config7043 Report (Earthsoft.Reports.Library.d51374.dll) – Used to export physical and chemical data from an EQuIS database to the WQX data warehouse. The report is configured for the WQX 3.0 - Physical/Chemical template.

•WQX: Habitat_Result config7044 Report (Earthsoft.Reports.Library.d52163.dll) – Used to export habitat data from an EQuIS database to the WQX data warehouse. The report is configured for the WQX 3.0. - Habitat template.

•WQX: Biological_Result config7045 Report (Earthsoft.Reports.Library.d43736.dll) – Used to export biological data from an EQuIS database to the WQX data warehouse. The report is configured for the WQX 3.0 - Biological template.

•Read Me File (ReadMe.txt) – Readme file to explain the purpose of each file in the WQX Format Package.

Setup for the EQuIS WQX package involves updating existing databases with the EQuIS WQX Schema, adding needed reference values to each database, and ensuring that all pertinent files are available to users. After downloading and extracting the format package files, complete the following steps:

1.Copy EQuIS WQX format files (WQX-refvals.zip and EQEDD_WQX.zip) and example EDD files to desired folders (optional).

2.Apply the EQuIS WQX Schema (schema.WQX.xme) to the EQuIS database per instructions in the Apply Additional Modules/Schemas to a Database article.

3.Copy all EQuIS WQX Report DLL files to the EQuIS Professional folder (e.g., C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS) and publish to the database.

4.Setup WQX reference values and remaps as needed.
