Format Packages

Non-standard EQuIS format files that are available on the EarthSoft Community Center (ECC) may be found in format-specific packages rather than as standalone formats. The purpose of releasing these formats as part of a package is to aid the implementation of each format by packaging it alongside supporting files whose use spans the entire length of the data loading workflow. These packages will each contain a format file and a README text file, along with some combination of the following files:

•A Schema file

•An example reference value file

•An example EDD

•An example remap set

•A Collect template

•A report *.dll file

Once the package has been downloaded, it should be unblocked and the contents extracted. The formats released as packages will not be able to be opened in EDP until the format file is extracted from the encompassing package *.zip file. Any attempt to open the package as a format in EDP prior to extraction will result in an error.
