Description: The Water Quality eXchange (WQX) is a standardized data framework and submission mechanism for sharing water quality data that is administered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA). The fields in the output of the WQX: Monitoring Location report gives the details of locations associated with a sampling activity.

Installation Instructions: This report is automatically created when the EQuIS WQX Schema is applied to the EQuIS database. The EQuIS WQX Schema available as part of a format package (EQEDD_WQX_FormatPackage.zip). See the WQX Package Installation and Configuration article for more details.

 

Notes:

•The EQuIS WQX Schema (schema.WQX.xme) is not included with the standard EQuIS installation and must be manually applied. See Apply Additional Modules/Schemas to a Database for additional information.  

•A Premium Enterprise license is required to apply the EQuIS WQX Schema to an EQuIS Enterprise site. See Applying Licenses in EQuIS Enterprise for additional information.  

 

Overview: Many fields in the WQX.MONITORINGLOCATION views table are also present in the WQX: Monitoring Location report. This report automatically filters by ORIGID (facility where this report is being generated).

Identifier

Code used to identify the parent task under which the field sample was retrieved (aka DT_TASK.PARENT_TASK_CODE associated with DT_SAMPLE.TASK_CODE).

Monitoring Location


HUC (Eight Digit)

Parameter for the 8-digit Hydraulic Unit Code (LOC_MAJOR_BASIN).

Parameter for the 12-digit Hydraulic Unit Code (LOC_MINOR_BASIN).

State

The monitoring location’s state code (LOC_STATE_CODE).
