Commitment details are task metadata that help define the reasons for conducting the task, and the parties responsible for the task. These details assist in the reporting process by allowing you to select groups of tasks based on common values.
For example, one or more Planned Tasks may be configured based on the requirements set forth by a single governing authority or monitoring program. This authority or monitoring program can be selected during reporting to generate output for these related tasks.
Commitment data should be added to Planned Tasks whenever appropriate. To add Commitment Data to a Planned Task:
1.After configuring values in the Task Parameters tab, navigate to the Commitments tab.
2.Click Add if the fields are not enabled.

The SPM - Completeness Report -Detailed, and the SPM - Task Details Report are standard in SPM and include the commitment details in their output.
Note: When adding commitment details, the option to have SPM automatically optimize the tasks in your Plan is turned on by default. To turn auto-optimization off, select the check box next to the “Isolated” parameter on the Commitment Details tab. |
