Report Name: Lithology Data (example)
File Name: EarthSoft.Reports.Library.d34009.dll
Dependencies: N/A
Software: EQuIS Professional and EQuIS Enterprise
Source: EQuIS Professional install
Language: English
Output Type: Report Grid1
Description: The Lithology Data report compiles information from the DT_LITHOLOGY table and its associated DT_LITHOLOGY_COMPONENT table. This report includes, among other information, an overview of each lithology depth interval. This report can be used to review lithology data within a facility or across multiple facilities. The resulting summary may be helpful to users with EQuIS Geotech or producing lithology visuals in EnviroInsite (separate licensing applies).
Notes: •Users will only be able to access facilities to which they have permission to view/edit. •Only User Reports of the Lithology Data report can be loaded into the Data Grid widget. |
Installation Instructions: This report assembly is part of the EQuIS Professional installation. No additional installation steps are necessary.
Overview:
The depth values (START_DEPTH, END_DEPTH, and TOTAL_DEPTH) included in the output units are initialized in the following order:
•first from DT_LOCATION.UNITS,
•then from DT_COORDINATE.ELEV_UNIT, and
•finally from DT_FACILITY.ELEV_UNIT.
In instances where a particular unit is not available in the preceding order, the initialization proceeds to the next viable option in the sequence. In the final report output, the depths are converted from their initialized units to the selected unit from the Depth Unit report parameter. If the Depth Unit parameter is left empty, the final output converts the measured unit to either DT_FACILITY.ELEV_UNIT, DT_COORDINATE.ELEV_UNIT or DT_LOCATION.UNITS in that respective order.
For databases with EQuIS Geotech applied (includes Geotech Schema, Geotechnical_v2 format, and associated reference values), the lithology component codes in the summary can include:

The LITHOLOGY_INTERVAL_SUMMARY field uses the COMPONENT_CODEs listed above to generate an interval summary. The interval summary is a concatenation of the values associated with the COMPONENT_CODEs listed above separated by commas. Conditional formatting logic is present for the following COMPONENT_CODEs: FILL_YN, MATERIAL_NAME, USCS_SYMBOL, MODIFIER_MODIFYING_MATERIAL, COLOR, JOINING_WORD, and ADDITIONAL_COLOR. The logic for these values is similar to that used in the EI_LITHOLOGY_DESCRIPTION function.
Note: The LITHOLOGY_INTERVAL_SUMMARY field does not include bold and underlined formatting in its output. If a database does not include the COMPONENT_CODEs listed above, then the LITHOLOGY_INTERVAL_SUMMARY field is empty in the output. |
