Report Name: Geotechnical Compaction (example)
File Name: EarthSoft.Reports.Library.176839.dll
Dependencies: Licensed EQuIS Geotech and Geotech Schema
Software: EQuIS Professional and Enterprise
Source: EQuIS Geotech (EarthSoft Community Center > Products > EQuIS Geotech)
Language: English
Output Type: Excel1 or PDF
Description: The Geotechnical Compaction report plots the Water Content and Dry Density results of a Compaction test on a standard compaction plot. The standard compaction graph includes the curves of 100% Saturation for Specific Gravity equal to 2.80, 2.70, and 2.60. The X- and Y-axis of this report behaves in a dynamic manner based on the range of data being plotted. This report filters the results based on the selected task and will only display samples that have an associated DT_GEO_TEST table record where DT_GEO_TEST.TEST_TYPE = ‘Compaction’ and 'Compaction_Readings’. This report can be run in EQuIS Professional or published to EQuIS Enterprise.
Installation Instructions: This report requires an EQuIS Geotech license and the Geotech Schema applied to the database. The Geotechnical Compaction report (EarthSoft.Reports.Library.176839.dll) is available for download in the Products\EQuIS Geotech folder on the Downloads Dashboard on the EarthSoft Community Center. For Enterprise use, this report should be published to the database. When publishing the report, the assembly should be stored in the database. The report will be available for selection once it has been published.
Additional Details:
The Geotechnical Compaction report plots the following items:
•The X and Y grid lines of the graph.
•The water content (DT_GEO_RESULT.GEO_RESULT_CODE = ‘Compaction_WC’ where DT_GEO_TEST.TEST_TYPE = ‘Compaction_Readings’) and dry density (DT_GEO_RESULT.GEO_RESULT_CODE = ‘Compaction_DryD’ where DT_GEO_TEST.TEST_TYPE = ‘Compaction_Readings’) results for a sample on a Dry Density vs. Water Content plot.
•The Curves of 100% degree of Saturation (Zero Air Void (ZAV) lines) for Specific Gravity values equal to 2.80, 2.70, and 2.60.
Once the gridlines, test reading results, and ZAV lines are plotted on the graph, the report connects the reading results by a solid line of best fit. In samples where an oversize limit is supplied, the report will calculate the corrected water content and dry density reading values and plot the corrected results on the graph in the same color as the uncorrected results, but with a dashed line.
The report dynamically applies a 10% buffer above and below the maximum and minimum Y data point values.
The report determines whether to correct the data based on if the following parameters are populated in the database for the selected sample:
•DT_GEO_TEST_PARAMETER.PARAM_CODE = oversize_limit
•DT_GEO_RESULT.GEO_RESULT_CODE = ‘percent_finer’ associated with DT_GEO_RESULT.GEO_RESULT_CODE = ‘sieve_diameter’ that equals the oversize_limit value
When running the report, DT_SAMPLE.TASK_CODE must be populated to generate an output.
This report supports task_code based paging.
