Edit an Existing Work Order

To create a new Work Order (WO), read Create a New Work Order. To edit an SRN belonging to a work order, read Edit an Existing SRN.

The Work Order consists of:

COC samples

COC data

SRN document data

General Issues Amendment requests

Sample Issues (Sample/MAG/Analysis Issues)

oRe-sample Requests

oTest Issues

The Edit WO form contains three sections:

Top – Work Order master information

Middle – SRN information associated with this WO

Bottom – Data: COC samples, COC and SRN document data

Any modified information can be saved at any time by clicking Save. To close this form, click Close.

Top Section: Work Order Master Information

The information in this section can be edited, with the exception of WO Number, which can only be modified in EQuIS.

To improve readability on the Edit WO window, sections are collapsible. This section is collapsed by default to allow more screen space for remaining sections. The picture above shows it in an expanded state.

Middle Section: SRNs Associated with Edited WO

The master information for SRNs associated with the WO being currently edited is contained in this section. If there are no SRNs associated (as pictured above), it will contain a button allowing for creation of a New SRN. If there is at least one SRN associated with edited WO, the section will list them, while displaying the most recent one. The picture below shows a WO with three SRNs. The 'Add' button is replaced by a toolbar, allowing for navigation between SRN documents, as well as SRN creation and/or removal.

To navigate between SRNs, click one of the navigation tools:

<< – Show first / earliest SRN

< – Show previous SRN

> – Show next SRN

>> – Show most recent SRN

The Navigation toolbar shows the order of the current SRN, with number 1 referring to the SRN with earliest SRN Date.

To add a new SRN, click Add. A Sample Receipt Notification (SRN) will be shown, allowing for entry of SRN information.

To remove an SRN, navigate to it, and click Remove.

Note: An SRN cannot be removed if it contains at least one issue. Please remove SRN issues before trying to remove the SRN. The SRN can also be removed in EQuIS.

Bottom Section: Data

Data is grouped into five tabs:

WO Samples – Samples assigned to an edited WO. This tab allows the user to add/remove COC samples to/from the WO.

COCs – Shows COCs associated with an edited WO. Currently only 1 COC can be associated with a WO. The tab allows a user to enter/modify COC details for lab specific COC values.

SRN Amendments – This tab allows a user to enter/modify SRN Ammendments for currently selected SRN (selection is done in the middle section).

SRN Generic Issues – This tab allows a user to enter/modify SRN Generic Issues.

SRN Sample Issues – This tab displays samples associated with SRN, and allows a user to enter/modify those samples:

oSample MAG/Analysis Issues

oRe-sample Requests

oTest Issues

Editing of SRN related data is described in Edit an Existing SRN.

Data Tab: WO Samples

Shows and allows to add/remove COC samples associated with edited Work Order.

To add samples, click Add. A new form will be shown, allowing for a single COC. After selection, all samples from the selected COC not belonging to the edited WO will be added. A status message will show how many samples were added and how many were skipped.

SPM will save the current WO before adding samples.

Only samples from one COC can be added to the WO.

The Select COC form, along with relevant information messages, indicate samples which have been added.

20041-AddedSkippedSamples 20041-UnableToAddSample

After samples have been added, they will be displayed in the Data tab.

To remove unwanted samples, highlight them and click Remove.

Note: The SRN Data Present column at the right on the image above denotes if there is SRN data present. Sample(s) cannot be removed if SRN Datais  indicated in this column. Please use EQuIS for this feature.

Data Tab: COC

This tab allows for entry or modification of COC information provided by the lab. Once samples are added from a COC (previous step), a subset of COC information will be shown in the second tab. Fields shown are for lab-related information.
