Export gINT Project File without gINT Installed

In some cases, you may want to create a gINT project file (*.gpj) from EQuIS without having gINT installed, then send the export project file to a gINT user. If gINT is not installed on the same computer running EQuIS Professional, the gINT Interface button may not be visible.

If gINT is not installed on the same computer, you may not be able to use any of the Generate Output options to automatically generate *.pdf output. In addition, you may not be able to use the Launch gINT option to automatically open the project file in gINT.

If the gINT interface button is not visible in EQuIS Professional, you can make it visible by following these steps:

1.Open EQuIS.exe.config (typically in C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS or, for per-user installation, %localappdata%\Programs\EarthSoft\EQuIS\) in a text editor (e.g. Notepad).

2.Find the <appSettings> section of the file.

3.Add a new app setting that points to an existing file on your computer:

4.Save and close the file.

5.Run EQuIS Professional. The gINT Interface button will be visible.

Please note that you must still have the proper EQuIS for gINT license in order to create and export the gINT project file.
