Associate Well Segment Ref Values with Well Installation Form

Go to Well Installation Form for a description of well segment configuration.

The Well Installation Form contains drop-down selection boxes that allow specification of the materials used in the installation of the well. The drop-down menus are populated by reference to the following RT_WELL_SEGMENT_TYPE reference values:

These values are hard-coded within EDGE. However, you may associate your own RT_WELL_SEGMENT reference values with these hard-coded values using the remap feature within EQuIS Professional.

1.Open EQuIS Professional.

2.Open RT_REMAP_DETAIL.

3.Add the following records:

The INTERNAL_VALUES are the RT_WELL_SEGMENT_TYPE.SEGMENT_TYPE values from your database.

4.Save the reference tables.

5.Export the reference values through EDP, and then open the new RVF Selection file in EDGE, as explained in the RVF Selection article.

6.The drop-down values in the Well Construction Table will now reflect your values in RT_WELL_SEGMENT_TYPE.

Note: When loading reference values in either EDGE or the EDGE format as opened in EDP, the error message shown below may appear.

"Unable to add multi-column lookup for format field WellConstruction_v1.material_type_code because lookup

column RT_WELL_SEGMENT_TYPE_CODE does not contain unique values. Check for spaces at the end of values

in the lookup column."

To resolve this error, go to RT_WELL_SEGMENT_TYPE and ensure there are no MATERIAL_TYPE_CODE values that are near duplicates of each other. For example, even if assigned in RT_WELL_SEGMENT_TYPE to differing SEGMENT_TYPE values, "PVC SCH 40" and "PVC Sch 40" listed in MATERIAL_TYPE_CODE would cause this error to occur.
