Activate Field Checks

Activated field checks make additional fields in EDGE sections required fields. Samples will have an alert for each un-populated field.

By default, the enumeration "field_checks_yn" is set to 'n'. To activate field checks, set the enumeration to 'y'.

The following sections detail required fields when field checks are activated.

Water Level Section

If WATER_LEVEL_DEPTH is NULL and DRY_INDICATOR_YN is set to 'N', the following are required fields:

•FLD_QUALIFIER

•FLD_QUALIFIER_NOTE

In Water Level Form if the DRY_INDICATOR_YN field is checked, then the MEASUREMENT_DEPTH_OF_WELL will be highlighted as a required field. If DRY_INDICATOR_YN equals 'Y' the following are required fields:

•DIP_OR_ELEVATION

•MEASURED_DEPTH

•EQUIPMENT_CODE

•TECHNICIAN

If WATER_LEVEL_DEPTH is NULL AND where LNAPL_DEPTH or DNAPL_DEPTH is not NULL, the following are NOT required fields:

•FLD_QUALIFIER

•FLD_QUALIFIER_NOTE

Field Sample Section

If SAMPLE_DATE is populated, the following are required fields:

•SAMPLE_TYPE_CODE

•SAMPLE_MATRIX_CODE

•SAMPLING_METHOD

•CUSTOM_FIELD_2

•CUSTOM_FIELD_4

•WEATHER_CONDITION_1

•SENT_TO_LAB_DATE

•SAMPLER

•SAMPLING_COMPANY_CODE

If SAMPLE_DATE is populated, but SAMPLE_TYPE_CODE = NST (No Sample Taken), the following are required fields:

•SENT_TO_LAB_DATE

•SAMPLER

•SAMPLING_COMPANY_CODE

•FLD_QUALIFIER

•FLD_QUALIFIER_NOTE

Soil Gas

If SURVEY_DATE is populated, and READING is not NULL the following are required fields:

•PARAM_CODE

•READING_UNIT

•EQUIPMENT_CODE

•TECHNICIAN

If READING is NULL, only the following are required fields:

•PARAM_CODE

•TECHNICIAN

•FLD_QUALIFIER

•FLD_QUALIFIER_NOTE
