Statistics: Samples, Statistics and Exceedances

Report Name: Statistics - Samples, Statistics and Exceedances (example)

File Name: EarthSoft.Reports.Library.27135.dll

Dependencies: Saved Analytical Results report

Software: EQuIS Professional and EQuIS Enterprise

Source: EQuIS Professional install

Language: English

Output Type: Excel1

Description: This report creates a Crosstab Report in Microsoft Excel that displays samples down the side, and analytes across the top. Below the crosstab are summary statistics for each analyte.

Installation Instructions: This report assembly is part of the EQuIS Professional installation. No additional installation steps are necessary.

Overview:

This report is similar to “Statistics: Analyte by Sample (Lithology)” with the exception that it does not have the information on the depths of lithology. The main column headers of the report include SYS_SAMPLE_CODE, and SAMPLE_DATE while those of “Statistics: Analyte by Sample (Lithology)” include SYS_SAMPLE_CODE, START_DEPTH, lithology, and SAMPLE_DATE.

Note: The "Statistics: Samples, Statistics, and Exceedances" Report (EarthSoft.Reports.Library.27135.dll) was failing when running in a culture with a non-period decimal separator. This issue has been resolved.

The list of the "Save Analytical Results Report" parameter in the report of v6.3 or later includes user (pick) reports from both Analytical Results and Analytical Results II.

Statistical Calculations:

When the "use non-detects" parameter is checked, both detect and non-detect result values are involved in stats calculations. Note that non-detect values can be scaled when either the Analytical Results or Analytical Results II is executed.

When the "use non-detects" is NOT checked, only detect result values are involved in stats calculations.

n = the number of result values

Standard Deviation = Sqrt ( ∑ (result(i) - Mean)^2 / (n-1) )

95th Percentile Mean Estimate = Mean + (Standard Deviation * Student t) / Sqrt(n)

Flag Action Level Violations:

Up to four action levels can be applied in the report. If more than one action level is reported, they are listed in ascending order by action level code in each analyte column. Light_orange, light_yellow, light_green or rose color are applied to the Excel cell color index of each action level accordingly. When a result value is greater than an action level value (DT_ACTION_LEVEL_PARAMETER.ACTION_LEVEL), the color index of the Excel cell of the result is set with that of the action level. If there are more than action level violations, the color index of a result will be that of the violated action level code with the highest action level value. This action level flagging is also applied to Minimum, Maximum, Standard Deviation, and 95th Percentile Mean Estimate.
