Report Name: Location Parameters (Extra Fields) (example)
File Name: EarthSoft.Reports.Library.65991.dll
Dependencies: N/A
Software: EQuIS Professional and EQuIS Enterprise
Source: EQuIS Professional install
Language: English
Output Type: Report Grid1
Description: The Location Parameters (Extra Fields) Report generates the location parameter information from DT_LOCATION_PARAMETER and other selectable fields from DT_FACILITY, DT_LOCATION_PARAMETER, DT_PRECIPITATION, VW_LOCATION and VW_WELL, RT_COMPANY, RT_TIMEZONE, RT_UNIT, RT_BASIN, RT_LOCATION_TYPE, RT_STATE, RT_STREAM, RT_SAMPLE_METHOD, RT_LAND_USE and RT_LOCATION_PARAM_TYPE. It is a class report where extra fields can be selected.
The report output is sorted by LOC_REPORT_ORDER, SYS_LOC_CODE, PARAM_REPORT_ORDER, and PARAM_CODE.
This report will fill non-numeric results as PARAM_TEXT in their respective outputs. Numeric results are reported as PARAM_VALUE per original functionality.
Location Parameter Report Configuration discusses how to modify one of the report parameters so you can select location parameters that are not strictly numerical.
Installation Instructions: This report assembly is part of the EQuIS Professional installation. No additional installation steps are necessary.
Overview:
Use the Location Parameters (Extra Fields) Report as a replacement for the former Location Parameters Report. Note the following behavior:
•Prior to build 7.21.2, this report cannot be run from a facility group.
•The report requires RT_GROUP_MEMBER.MEMBER_CODE = RT_LOCATION_PARAM_TYPE.PARAM_CODE. It fails if the required data are not populated and Parameter - Individual(s)/Group(s) are selected.
Unit Conversion
The report uses a database unit conversion function, relying upon the conversion factors stored in the RT_UNIT_CONVERSION_FACTOR reference table.
During a unit conversion, the output's PARAM_UNIT uses one of the existing unit specifications, in order:
1.Parameter\Unit report parameter
2.RT_LOCATION_PARAM_TYPE.STANDARD_UNIT field
3.DT_LOCATION_PARAMETER.PARAM_UNIT field
Warning: By default, there are no unit conversions if the Parameter section is not selected. The report only performs unit conversions in these scenarios: •Parameter\Unit is selected •Parameter\Unit is not selected but Parameter\Individual(s) or Group(s) is selected. |
Tables: DT_FACILITY, DT_LOCATION, DT_LOCATION_PARAMETER, DT_PRECIPITATION, RT_GROUP, RT_GROUP_MEMBER, RT_LOCATION_PARAM_TYPE, RT_UNIT, ST_REPORT_PARAMETER, VW_LOCATION,VW_WELL.

Consult an EQuIS administrator if these parameters should be visible or use different default values in a published report (a report that allows saving of user reports). These paramaters cannot be viewed or changed in unpublished reports outside of a report parameter file.

**The Additional Fields parameter may be customized as explained in the help article How To Customize Additional Fields Parameter.

Skip Missing Unit Conversions:
A hidden parameter, Skip Missing Unit Conversions is available for configuring the report to skip failed result unit conversions and generate a row of param_value=original numeric param_value or null if non-numeric, param_text=original param_value and param_unit = original param_unit. The Skip Missing Unit Conversions parameter defaults to unchecked (default_value=false) and can be set in the database (ST_REPORT_PARAMETER) and made visible, if necessary.
1The Report Grid provides additional export options to Excel, Google Earth, Outlook, Shapefile, PDF, Text, Access, XML, or a printer.
