Description: Many clients in Washington State are required to submit data to the Department of Ecology (Ecology) database, EIM. This process can be time consuming and complicated. The EIM Export Report for EQuIS Professional is designed to assist with this process by exporting data from EQuIS directly into the EIM Location and EIM Result loader spreadsheets provided by Ecology.

 

Installation Instructions: Download the EIM Export report, unblock the *.zip file and extract the EarthSoft.Reports.Library.100111.dll to the EQuIS Professional installation folder. For default installations this directory is C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS or (for per-user installation) %localappdata%\Programs\EarthSoft\EQuIS\. The report will be available for selection once Professional has been relaunched.

 

Overview:

The EIM Export files generated from EQuIS meet the general EIM format requirements as of 2014. The valid values in the template are subject to change and not regularly updated in the EQuIS report. It is incumbent on users to review and finalize the files prior to official submittal to ensure current requirements are met (see EIM Help Docs).

 

This report requires the following prerequisites:

oLocations with coordinates where COORD_TYPE_CODE = LAT/LONG.

oCoordinate Type Code and Identifier are required parameters for this report.

Due to the way the EIM loader template handles coordinates, this report will only output one set of coordinate data at a time.

oEIM Load template files must be named EIMResultV2013.01.xls and EIMLocationV2013.01.xls and stored in DT_FILE. EIM template files are available from EIM Help Docs but, as noted above, may be more current than those used in developing the report. Contact EarthSoft Support for the original template files if needed.

oIn addition to these data requirements, remapping is also required as described below.

 

This report requires populating the EQuIS remap tables (RT_REMAP, RT_REMAP_DETAIL) to enable the Locations and Results output by mapping the EQuIS values to the EIM valid values. (If any remap is missing, the report will use the EQuIS item itself, e.g. if the remap of DT_TEST.PREP_METHOD does not exist, it will use DT_TEST.PREP_METHOD).

 

Remap details are shown below and in the EIM Export Mapping.

external_field = EQuIS Field Name (e.g. PREP_METHOD)

external_value = value specified for EIM

internal_value = equivalent value stored in EQuIS
