Stratigraphy

The Stratigraphy table is intended to contain data on the geologist’s or hydrogeologist’s interpretation of stratigraphic units. There are a number of things that should be kept in mind when constructing the Stratigraphy table.

1.Unit intervals must be in the same order from top to bottom in every well. For example, you cannot have strata AQ1 over AQ2 at well MW1 and AQ2 over AQ1 at well MW2.

2.If a particular unit is missing at a well, it will be interpreted as if it had a zero thickness.

3.When generating a borehole, missing units at the bottom of a borehole will use the interpolated thickness values based on other boreholes. This is useful where shallow boreholes only penetrate the shallowest units.
