Borings

The Borings table is intended for storage of the detailed description of soil and strata as contained in a well log. Each boring log record contains the information for a particular soil interval, with each record corresponding to a record in the Locations table. The common field in the Locations table and Borings table is the Location. Interval top and bottom may be defined using either elevation or depth.  The field name must accurately reflect whether the values entered are depths or elevations. Elevation values, where needed, are calculated by subtracting the depth from the Surface Elevation field in the Locations table.
