Advanced Cost Settings

Four options are used when evaluating advanced sample costs.

 

1.BASE_DISC_MAG_YN

a.Y – Count samples per MAG

b.N – Count samples per lab

c.NULL – See ST_CONFIG table settings below

2.INCLUDE_QAQC_YN

a.Y – Create cost rows for QA/QC samples and their analytes

b.N – Do not create cost rows for QA/QC samples and their analytes

c.NULL – See ST_CONFIG table settings below

3.COUNT_QAQC_YN

a.Y – Count QA/QC samples and their analytes

b.N – Do not count QA/QC samples and their analytes

c.NULL – See ST_CONFIG table settings below

4.EVALUATE_QAQC_YN

a.Y – Evaluate costs for QA/QC samples

b.N – Do not evaluate costs for QA/QC samples

c.NULL – See ST_CONFIG table settings below

 

 

Note: To evaluate QA/QC sample costs, QA/QC must be = Y.

 

 

ST_CONFIG and Default Values

 

By default, for _YN fields with NULL value are considered to be equivalent to N value. However, to simplify the SPM Advanced Cost feature, a corresponding setting can be set to make SPM treat NULL value as Y.

The STRING_VALUE field should contain the desired NULL replacement value. It can be NULL, Y, or N.
