Error when Opening Format Files

Affected Software/Reports/DLL(s): Professional, EDP, EDGE

Affected Software Version: Not specific to any EQuIS version.

Symptoms: When attempting to load a format file, you may get the following error message:

Unable to read Format File: C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS\Formats\XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

An attempt was made to load an assembly from a network location which would have caused the assembly to be sandboxed in previous

versions of the .NET Framework. This release of the .NET Framework does not enable CAS policy by default so this load may be dangerous.

If this load is not intended to sandbox the assembly, please enable the loadFromRemoteSources switch. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?Linkld=155569 for more information.

Cause/Details: This error commonly occurs when certain files downloaded from the Internet are "blocked" by the Windows OS security settings.

Resolution/Workaround: Take one of the following actions:

1.Zip all of the associated format files together, then open the zipped format in EDP/EDGE

2.In Windows Explorer, navigate to the directory where the format files are stored. Right-click on each of the files in turn, select "Properties", and then click "UNBLOCK" if available in the Properties window.
