Delimiter

A delimiter is a sequence of one or more characters used to specify the boundary between separate, independent regions in plain text or other data streams.

Within EDP, the delimiter is set as a comma for import and export, and is hard coded in the EDP code.

For other file types (.txt, .smp, .tst, etc.), the delimiter determines the separator by counting the commas, pipes, tabs, and tildes in the first line and the one with the most, is the separator.

It is possible to set the delimiter in the format handler file.
