Determining your Database Version
Copyright © 2019 EarthSoft, Inc • Modified: 18 Feb 2019
Affected Software/Reports/DLL(s): EQuIS Professional
Affected Software Version: N/A
Symptoms: If you receive a database where there is no associated EQuIS version, use the instructions below to determine your database version.
Resolution/Workaround: This information is included in the ST_MODULE.VERSION_NUMBER field. Please see the following steps to determine database version or email an export of your ST_MODULE table to firstname.lastname@example.org for further assistance:
1.Open ST_MODULE and filter for MODULE_TYPE=db.
2.Locate the schema component of interest in the NAME category.
3.Note the VERSION_NUMBER field, which is in the following format:
[YYDDD when the schema file was last modified].[YYDDD when the schema file was compiled]
where YYDDD represents the two-digit year and three-digit day of year. The second number set is typically within one to two days of a version release.
4.For example, the VERSION_NUMBER for Professional is 16036.16096, which converts to February 5th, 2016 and April 6th, 2016.
5.Compare the modified date in VERSION_NUMBER dates from ST_MODULE to the Release Notes release dates. For the above example, the schema was compiled on April 6th, 2016, which coincides with the release date of EQuIS Professional 6.5.0.
