Determining your Database Build/Version

Affected Software/Reports/DLL(s): EQuIS Professional

Affected Software Version: N/A

Symptoms: If you receive a database with no known associated EQuIS version (e.g. EQuIS 6 or 7) or build (e.g. EQuIS 6.6.1, 7.0.0.19300, or 7.22.2), use the instructions below to determine your database version.

Cause/Details: N/A

Resolution/Workaround: Build information appears in the ST_MODULE.VERSION_NUMBER field, which non-administrators can see in the VW_DB_VERSION view. Determine database build/version by the following steps:

1.Click Open > Tables.

2.In the Open window, click Views.

3.Open VW_DB_VERSION. To see updates in sequential order, sort by the VERSION or DATE_UPDATED field by clicking on the name.

4.Locate the schema component of interest in the MODULE field category.

5.Note the VERSION field, which is in the following format:
[YYDDD when the schema file was last modified].[YYDDD when the schema file was compiled]
where YYDDD represents the two-digit year and three-digit day of year. The second number set is typically within one to two days of a version release.
For example, a VERSION for Professional of 16036.16096 converts to February 5th, 2016 and April 6th, 2016.

6.Compare the VERSION date to the Release Notes release dates.

7.If the versions or builds remain unclear, email an export of ST_MODULE or VW_DB_VERSION to EarthSoft Support for further assistance
