Too Many Fields Defined

This error message occurs when using an EnviroInsite database and not an EQuIS database. This error means that the database driver is finding something in an Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to the right of data columns (i.e., Excel sees more fields defined than actually intended). Sometimes it can be something innocent like the assignment of formatting properties to cells without data. To fix this problem, open the spreadsheet in Excel and on each worksheet unhide the columns to the right of the data. Next, highlight all the columns to the right of the data columns and select Clear> Clear All. It is in the Home Tab's Editing Panel in Microsoft Excel.
