FileMonitor Agent

File Monitor agent is part of the Enterprise workflow service that loads Electronic Data Deliverables (EDDs) into the EQuIS Schema. The File Monitor agent scans folders for new EDDs. The folders are determined by combining the EQuIS work folder with the channels (e.g., web, email, FTP) defined for the File Monitor agent.

Note: EDD delivery channels and their associated client assembly must be defined for the File Monitor agent to function properly. See the EFD File Monitor configuration article for more details about setting these properties.

After the EDD is loaded into the ST_FILE_REGISTRATION table (regardless of channel configuration), a completed task is created for the File Monitor agent and a new task is created for the agent identified by <WORKFLOWSTEP_ID>.

Note: Only one EarthSoft.Workflow.Agents.FileMonitorAgent can be running.
